Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MathMithra provides personal AI mathematics tutoring for IB MYP students. Because our students are minors, we treat privacy as a design principle, not a checkbox.

2. What we collect

• Account details — the username and display name created for each family.
• Learning records — topics covered, practice attempts and scores, recurring mistake patterns, learning preferences, lesson transcripts, and attendance (dates, duration, start times).
• Uploaded material — worksheets and homework photographs, used only to run lessons.
• Voice — during live lessons, microphone audio is streamed to our AI provider to power the conversation. We do not keep audio recordings; only text transcripts are stored.

3. How it is used

Solely to tutor the student: remembering what has been learned, adapting explanations, tracking mastery, and producing progress reports for the parent. We do not sell data, show advertising, or share data with anyone except the AI processing providers below.

4. AI providers

Lesson content (text, images of worksheets, and live audio) is processed by enterprise AI services (such as Microsoft Azure AI) under their data-protection terms to generate the tutor's responses. These providers do not use our data to train their models under the applicable enterprise terms.

5. Where data lives

Learning records are stored in the family's own MathMithra installation — not in a central MathMithra cloud. Parents can view everything the tutor remembers, and can ask for records to be exported or deleted at any time.

6. Children's privacy

The service is used by students under 18 with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who controls the account, the daily schedule and all settings.

7. Emails

We email parents only about the service itself — access, progress, or technical issues. No marketing lists, no third-party mailers beyond our email provider.

8. Your rights

Parents may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by writing to privacy@mathmithra.xyz. Deletion is completed within 30 days.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, enrolled families will be told by email before the change takes effect.
